Peter Kang in Brief

Dinner at the Harvard Club

Met up with old friends at the Harvard Club (not my choice - a friend was a member). Stuffy, lots of portraits of dead white dudes. They made the most whack mint julep (mint and creme de menthe) - had to insist on one made with bourbon, mint, and sugar. Food was meh. But good catching up with peeps.

Pizza @ Motorino

We took a Zipcar (a Prius!) to Williamsburg on Sunday for some tasty pizza. Probably wouldn't go back, but it was a decent meal. Their gin basil smash drink was awful though - tasted like apple juice from start to finish, hardly a hint of gin.

Saturday Brunch @ Prune

Kitty and I rode into Manhattan and had brunch at Prune. The eggs Benedict was perfect and the cream of wheat with buttermilk ice cream was nice and sweet. I really liked the bloody Mary (got the one with lemon vodka and pickled radish). I guess it was worth the wait!

Picnic Time

Had a tasty bacon-wrapped hot dog topped with mango guacamole at a picnic in Prospect Park yesterday.

Finally, Dual-screen

Wook scored me a nice 24" Dell monitor off of Craigslist, so I finally get some more LCD real estate. Will productivity increase? Hope so!

Btw, the new monitor is much, much brighter.

The Hurt Locker

One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Action-packed from start to finish, in a lean and smart way. Check it out!
